Origin: cross between Vitis berlandieri cv Rességuier n°2 and Vitis Rupestris cv.
Environmental Adaptation
- Moderately adapted to limestone soils, with variable resistance to iron chlorosis depending on the variety used.
- Resistant to 17% active limestone.
Well adapted to drought, but very sensitive to permanent excess moisture. - Suitable for dry, poor, stony soils, with little or no limestone.
- Has a less penetrating root system, suitable for deep soils.
- Low resistance to salinity.
Disease Resistance
- Good resistance to phylloxera radicola.
- Good resistance to phytophthora cinnamomi.
- Good resistance to downy mildew.
- Not very sensitive to anthracnose.
Origin: Cross between Vitis berlandieri cv Rességuier n°2 and Vitis Rupestris cv Lot.
Vigor: Very high
Environmental Adaptation
- Resists up to 30% total limestone and 17% active limestone.
- Its resistance to iron chlorosis is moderate.
- Well adapted to drought and compact soils with significant temporary moisture in the spring.
- Absorbs magnesium well.
- Performs well on acidic soils.
- Fairly good tolerance to chlorides.
- Generally used due to its high resistance to soil salinity.
Disease Resistance
- Resistant to Phylloxera radicola and downy mildew.
- Moderate resistance to gall phylloxera and meloidogyne nematodes.
